4. Perseverance:
There will be numerous uphill battles. From Midterms, GPA’s, Finals, Change of majors, New major requirements, Financial Aid, to plain old Being broke. These inevitable situations are build ups that will try to influence you to quit. When faced with adversity, always remember the end goal which is obtaining your degree- nothing else. Even in the extreme event of losing a loved one, just know, that loved one would have wanted to see you succeed, complete the mission, and persevere.
5. Support:
Every student needs a strong support system. If you are at home and have a family member in college, you can contribute your support: with a call, a text, encouraging words, let the undergrad know you do believe in them, buy a book for the undergrad, pay a bill for the undergrad… when in doubt send MONEY! Students, remember all of the faces who support you for these thoughts will help you finish when faced with the temptation of quitting.
